So yesterday I was minding my own business........ I was at work and just getting the gutter from the chop driver (so basically we just started the house/9:45am). I was talking with "my guys" (two Mexican guys who are on my crew) just goofin' around and waiting for the gutter. One of them had in their hand a roll of four inch plastic wrap on a handle (that we use for protecting the gutter when we have to carry it to the job site) and as we were talking he just pointed it at me in a quick manner and the roll of plastic wrap flew off the handle and hit me in the lip..... I'm OK (no stitches) and I'm not mad (which is a miracle) so I'll just have a little (I hope) scar right above my lip. Here's the pics.....

Jane Eyre
One of my apparent faithful readers has brought to my attention that they do not know about the new Jane Eyre. Though this is a sad thing, 'tis true. Therefore I'm hear to tell you that this new adaptation is a "must see" if you know anything about Jane and enjoy these types of stories. If you do like this story then it is a "must own" (trust me!!). This story (the book) changed my life as it relates to novels and "chick flicks" :-)

Wives and Daughters
Thank you Sarah Barlow! Last night I went over to the Barlow's house to watch Wives and Daughters because Sarah said she was buying it for me for my birthday and when it arrived she would tell me and we could watch it together (as she had never seen it and wished to). So we watched it..... Well sorta.... We accedently skipped part two but it was just as well since we were done at 1am anyway! I guess it gives us an excuse to see it again except without skipping this time. :-)
Thanks again Sarah,

Austen Nation
So as of late I've been on a huge Jane Austen kick. I read Pride and Prejudice and then watched the 5 hour (1995) BBC version adapted from the book then went out and bought the tenth anniversary limited edition (DVD) and watched it again. Then I watched the 2005 version (Keira Knightley) just to compair (it has nothing on the 1995 version). Then went to my friend's house and watched it again! So in all I've watched it like 4 times (not all at once of corse, over a couple weeks) but I just loned it out to a friend and when it comes back...... Yep, I'm gonna watch it again....... I don't know what the deal is I just love it! I know it's crazy but I didn't stop there..... I just had my birthday (on the 27th of Feb) and I asked for verious Austen novels and DVDs. That's right I'm not just a P&P freak but I'm a total Jane Austen freak (and proud of it). I have all but two of her novels and three of her works adapted to DVD...... I now own (on DVD) the before mentioned Pride and Prejudice, Emma (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant). The novels I've yet to get are Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey and the DVDs for those two and Persuasion, then my collection will be complete.
If you haven't heard about Jane Austen or her works you really should look into it. I'm sure you'll not regret it.

Autoshow '07
On Febuary 10th I went to the Chicago Auto Show as I do every year with my friends Dave and Brad. We wandered around for hours gazing at concepts and production models not looking for anything in particular but just enjoying the sights. I did however want to look at the Toyota Tundra because it is the only truck that I would be happy to own. :-) Anyway it was fun and here are some of the pics I took....
