    The Hunted

So today started as a normal non-work day.... I got up at 8am (not so normal) and grabbed some breakfast (normal), teeth (normal), clothes for the day (normal) etc.... As I was in my room getting dressed I hear some scratching and paper rustling under my bed. I froze and waited........... I kept hearing it for a couple minutes so I bent down very carefully to see if I could see the little rodent without him knowing I was looking for him. I couldn't, and the scratching continued but grew closer to the end of my bed. Finally it stopped........ I froze again and waited...... I was scanning the end of my bed looking for any possible place that he could pop out........ When in a burst he popped out and sqweezed between a cardboard box and my back-pack then darted into my closet. He was gone........ However I know as well as you that my closet shares the same back wall as the back-porch closet (if you didn't know that it's ok). So I went to the back-porch closet to see if he might come out........ He didn't........
Upon my return from setting a trap in my room while I was bating another trap for the back-porch, I hear him.......... He was on one of my mother's baking shelves (which as you know are only a few inches off the ground).......... I froze, listened and waited............ I crept on my hands and knees as close as I could without making a noise to where I heard the sound.......... As I'm doing this I'm remembering the last time this happened....... {I don't know how long ago (enough years for me to forget the particulars) but pretty much the same situation: there was mouse on the same shelf so I cornered him and caught him with my bare hand (of course I was wearing a glove!)} While that story is going through my mind and I'm crawling on the ground to see exactly where this guy is, he pops his head up and stares me right in the face........... I froze (but see, you knew I was gonna do that)....... So he's looking right at me and I'm thinking what am I gonna do-I don't have a glove on!!!! If he makes a run-for-it, I'll have to catch him without the glove and if he bites me I'll just have to deal with it. Anyway, he doesn't make a run-for-it, he just goes back to nibblin' on the bag of lentils behind which he popped his head up. That was his mistake........... I know where he's at....... Now for "The Plan"........ (Keep in mind all this is going through my head and God made us so awesomely that it's all happening within split seconds) "The plan" is: I'll start pulling all the containers off the shelf to scare him so he'll be cornered, or he'll come out and then I'll get him...... This is not how it happened however....... I start "The Plan".......... Before I got too far I realize something.......... THERE'S MORE THAN ONE LITTLE BUGGER!!!!!!! Now I really had to think fast......... I was dealin' with TWO of 'em! In a fury of instinct I reverse "The Plan" and start smacking the containers up against the back of the shelving unit. My thinking is, I'll trap them........ But, this action ended up killing them both...... However cruel that may sound....... It wasn't my intention, though it made for a good story and some cool pics (if I do say so myself).......

    Pizza Party!

Today's topic is the right way to have a pizza party.....

First you must start by having the proper amount of the coolest people you can possibly get together in one place at the same time..........

Add enough pizza for everyone to stuff themselves (to the point of not needing to eat again........ Ever!)

Drinks are a must have and they must be in abundance..........

A place to meet and have the party is a must and also a camera or two to capture the event (or at least a pic or two ;-)

So today's occasion was I didn't have to install gutters and I'm an alumnus of Megan's School of Fun, so I decided to treat everyone who is still a student (and some random alumni) to pizza for lunch.....

    Here's some Pics.........
